Fine Wine Storage by Guardsman is 100% Australian owned and commenced operations in 1999 on the completion of a purpose built wine storage cellar for investors, retailers and individual wine enthusiasts.

A separate entity "Guardsman Self Storage" leases space for General Storage.

All buildings are constructed of brick and concrete and are designed for easy access. Lifts are provided in buildings with more than one level.

Access to the Wine Cellar is available Mondays to Saturdays 8.00am to 6.00pm.

Fine Wine Storage by Guardsman takes pride in providing tight security for your fine wines. Access to the cellar is controlled by the office staff who require user identification prior to entry. You or your representative must register your signatures with the office.

You or your representative lock your own cellar unit which limits access and enhances security. Locks may be bought at the office.

Hand trolleys are available at no cost to assist you in moving.

Fine Wine Storage by Guardsman covers all your wine cellaring needs through the provision of cellars and bins with precise climate control. The number of cellars and bins available and their capacity are as follow:

Some variation in capacity can arise due to different carton measurements adopted by wine producers.

All clients are asked to sign a monthly rental agreement which clearly sets out the obligations and responsibilities of both parties. The agreement remains in force for the term of the storage period.

We provide complete peace of mind for storage of your fine wines. If you have problems with inadequate storage conditions for your wine, limited storage, collection too large to store at home or office, security issues and other factors, you should contact Fine Wine Storage by Guardsman.

Fine Wine Storage by Guardsman stores your wine under precise temperature and humidity conditions. The temperature is held in the range of 15 - 16 deg.C. Relative Humidity is controlled in the range of 65 - 70%. These parameters are continuously recorded and checked regularly. Back up power supply is available in the event of mains power disruption.

Our wine storage cellars operate on a self service basis. - ie you deliver, store and retrieve your wines according to your needs and collection/disposal plans. We do not handle your wines - rather we provide the means for you to have your personal cellar. Self service advantages include:

• Costs are reduced on expensive handling, retrieval and inventory control processes where constant movements are not necessary or required.
• Your wine is not being constantly shifted as may happen in a shared open storage area.
• You or your representative hold the key and therefore control access to your wines which is a further security measure.
• On site tight security systems

All wines are stored at your sole risk. As Fine Wine Storage by Guardsman legally has no insurable interest in the wines, you should arrange insurance cover. We can assist you to arrange adequate cover but we do not accept any form of commission, etc for our involvement. All cellars/bins are cleaned when vacated and prior to reletting.

Self Storage with Fine Wine Storage by Guardsman is a highly cost effective way to store fine wine. The cellar and bin capacities as set out above are available to cover your particular need.

The normal rental period is a month or a multiple thereof. However, you will only pay for the occupation period calculated on a daily basis should that vary from a month.

All rentals are payable in advance with the bins payable 6 months in advance. Refundable deposits are not required. Payment is by cheque or cash. The rental rates of cellars and bins approximate to $1.10 per bottle per year inc. GST.
